Croad Langshan?

Are these available in the US? I can't find any online, not to mention locally.... but I would love to have purple eggs!

Unfortunately there isn't any yet! 

 

Importing them would be the other option.

Yes there are a couple breeders. One is in Ohio. I bought a dozen of their eggs on eBay but only 4 hatched. 2 blacks and 2 whites
Married to the most wonderful wife, dad to four kids!!!!     Our birds:   Peafowl-  India Blue, Midnight Blackshoulders, Whites, Purple white eye , Blackshoulders and Pieds.  Pheasants: Red Goldens, Silvers, Lady Amherst, Swinhoes,  3 Guineas  1 Dog    2 Cats    and a goldfish pond with fish, koi, and some nice frogs.

My daughter would be all over that! Purple is her favorite color. I think I"ll not pass on the information until:

 1) We figure out if we are good chicken farmers after the first chicks arrive in 3 weeks and we have had a year or three to see how it goes

2) They are available as chicks. Not sure I'm up to hatching, haven't even done the brooder thing yet!

 

Plus, since we aren't going to raise eating birds, I'm not sure the expense of an incubator is warranted.

More chickens than one woman ought to have, eight Angora goats, one llama, two dogs, a cat, a husband and a kid.

Here is one of the white Croads, Unfortunately not a good pic due to all the rain we had just had and her being in a temorary pen.
