Chicken Found Almost Dead!!!!

I went over to my chook pen this morning and found my Gold Spangled Hamburg chick sitting on its tail, stuck in the corner of the nesting box. It was really weak and stiff at first i thought it was dead but it wasn't, only just alive. I didn't know what to do but in the end before i could do anything it was already dead. It was sad but not unexpected after the bad shape it was in this morning. hit.gif Has anyone else had experiences like this, if so please share.

Sorry for your loss.  Unfortunately these things happen and we simply don't know why.  All of us here have had sudden deaths happen.

Married to the old dude, 0 human kids, 2 horses, 10 cockatiels, 2 parakeets, 1 sun conure, 1 amazon parrot,  1 eccentric peacock, 1 gsd, 1 pet terrapin, 1 Blue Copper Maran rooster, and 14 world famous Jersey Giants!

Sorry for your loss..  I went through the same thing, and feeling helpless.  I  couldnt find any way to save a chicken.   its very tough to raise animals !

I had this happen to me a couple weeks agohit.gif I had 2 RIR's. They both seemed perfectly healthy. I went out to collect eggs and noticed one in the nesting box with her tail down, and really not looking good. I moved her so I could keep an eye on her, but she died later that afternoon. I have no idea what happened. No one else has been sick since. It was really random.
