:Came outside and seen broody out of nest looked in nest and seen two of my other hens in there. I kicked them out and noticed they had broken one and there was yolk on a couple. Tried wiping them off and my friendliest jumped up pecked and broke another. I cleaned them the best I could without washing them. Can they still hatch? What should I do?

They will probably be fine, but I would move mama and nest to a private place where other hens can't get at her/them. Do it at night so as to stress her as little as possible........Pop

I have been dealing with this all morning.  I agree..if you can move her, do it tonight.  My other hens cracked one of my hens day 19 eggs this morning.  It looked ok, the membrane was not broken, I put it back under her and about an hour later I went to collect eggs and another hen was in there...broke it up even more..it was open through the membrane and bleeding.  Now it is dead, and my broody wont set on the other eggs.   :(

Sorry to hear that. I would be pretty upset with my hens if mine was that far along. She is only on day 3 but i only had 10 and don't have a roo so i traded some homemade maple syrup for 10 mixed breed eggs. I blocked off the hens from her til I figure out where to put her. She was off nest when I came out but i cleaned her nest out and put fresh bedding in for her and she went back in.
