Interesting news - "Eggless" Chick laid by hen

Not sure if this goes here, but this is a very interesting article:

In Sri Lanka, a chick was hatched without the egg being laid; the chick was incubated internally for 21 days before hatching out! The chick was full-formed and healthy, but unfortunately the mother died as a result of injuries.

 

So really, which came first, the chicken or the egg?
