Give Old dad Three days taking care of them and he will probably catch the Bug ! He will want geese ducks chickens Peacocks lol !

I have about 20 Mature Hens and Roosters Different Breeds (RIR's, EE's, OEGB, Buff Orp.'s)  and approximately 60 Chicks different ages and a large variety adding more constantly (Jersey Giants, Black Australorp, White leghorn, Buff Orps.'s RIR and mixed bred), Three Dogs One Pure Bread Doxie two mixed Breeds, 4 Ducks (2 white Peking, One Muscovy, One mixed breed)2 baby Mallard chicks , 2...

no peacocks!... my aunt raised a couple of them years ago... she was about a mile and a half away as the crow flies, and we could hear those birds loud and clear from our place... the official story is a fox ended up getting  them, but my money is on one of her nearer neighbors…  my dad is rather fond of pheasants though… we had a Lady Amherst cock named Merlin years back, a gift from a friend of the family(caught him in his yard down on Long Island, IIRC)…beautiful bird, but a weasel got him… I would love to get another one, or better yet, a pair, for my dad, but they are so friggin expensive…

That this universe, in all it's infinite wonder, simply is, that it exists at all, is good enough for me. In my eyes, to say that something had to "create" it, to make it what it is, only succeeds to cheapen the experience, to make it less special.

That this universe, in all it's infinite wonder, simply is, that it exists at all, is good enough for me. In my eyes, to say that something had to "create" it, to make it what it is, only succeeds to cheapen the experience, to make it less special.

Living in the Beautiful Mountains of Western N.C.. with 16 chickens= EE's, Game, Cochin bantams,Light Brahma,  13Muscovy ducks, 1Embden Gander,1 Toulouse goose, 3 mini Dachshunds, 1 mixed breed, pond goldfish,  and a wonderful Husband who makes it all possible..♥
