Just ordered my new chicks for May 30th!!!

Weeelll, they used to be in the house, the first time we had chicks. After that, although I loved having them inside, where they were around people all the time and I could watch them any time I wanted, we didn't really want to have all that dust everywhere again - it got all over the house! Now the brooder's in our backyard shed. I've got chicks, ducklings, and kittens out there right now, so I spend a lot of time out there these days!

How are your chicks doing, Kimmie? Have you figured out who's who yet? I'd love to help ID some if you're still wondering - don't know how much help I'd be, but I like trying to figure it out!

I am going to take pictures today and see if you can or anyone can help me figure them out I am going to take some to chickenstock I don't want this many chickens. Well I do want them but don't have room. If I know what they are I will be able to down size easier. They are getting soooooo big now. I am trying to get sewing done for chickenstock but I keep getting distracted by some things that are all bright and feathery

It's going to be hard to pick, I have this one that come to me and lets me pet her I don't want to get rid of her but when I go to catch them they are all running around how will I be able to make sure I don't get her by accident? I need some way of marking her. She is one of the breeds that I will be bring for sure I have 5 of them. Plus you know I am suppose to be getting 4 marans. Oh how, oh how did I get stuck in this chicken math????????
 
You could safely attach a zip tie to her leg (make sure it's not too tight or loose - and she's still growing, so keep an eye on it) or if she has any chick-down left you could mark her with food coloring.

Well today it rained and rained, I was cleaning around the coop in the rain for about three hours finally I actually got cold went inside and took a shower. Of course it got nice by then I was to pooped to go out and take any pictures. Now some how I messed up my glasses, they have a film or something on them I can't get off. I will not buy the best lenses again I don't care if they will be thicker. Hopefully I will get some pic's tomorrow.
