I did something awful...

...to a mouse!

I was digging for a missing shoe when I surprised a mouse in the bedroom. The little &*^%'s moved in awhile ago and we're battling to get rid of them. So today I had this little one hiding, right there in front of me, with its entire tail sticking straight up in the air. So I did what you'd do under the circumstances, being presented with an opportunity like that, and grabbed the tail, meaning to pull the mouse out of it's hiding place. The mouse had other ideas. It scampered off leaving me with half it's tail in my hand!ep.gif

And this is the second time it's happened to me. Obviously didn't learn anything first time round roll.png

Eww, my son did that with his gerbil once when he was little and went absolutely hysterical.....I'll never forget that.

It's kind of gross, huh?  Hey, my husband would have stomped the mouse, which is much more terrible than pulling off the tail!  ;)

I don't know if this will make you feel any better, but that tail thing is a survival mechanism.  They are built to sacrifice a tail to save a life.  Worked, didn't it?

well if we are telling funny mouse stories sthen here is mine and its perfectly normal under the circumstances

i was only 5 yrs old

we had a mouse in the house running under the sofa and everything

well the phone rang one day and and my mum went to answer it

i think the ringing scared the mouse and it came shooting out

and all by chance no intension in it at all

my mum stepped on it

she had a long conversation while standing on the backhalf of this mouse

we where all up on the sofa screaming

the mouse died and mum chucked it away

so dont fret things happen its the cycle of life

Unless you have this cat

Kitty Kat does not chase mice, and never will. She has allowed mice to walk on her before she will go after one. And please don't try to send her off to the basement to hunt, or you will get this cat staring at you all night.
