sick new chicks! Any advice?

Hello,

I received 34 new chicks from Meyers on Tues afternoon-this is Thursday morning-I lost 2 overnight and one this morning.  Another is not looking good.  They have a warm brooding

are, electrolytes in water. I have tried hard boiled eggs, and yoghurt, and dipping beaks in

water and egg mixture.  

This is our 3 time getting chicks and we have not lost a one till now!  Does anyone

have any ideas.  Have I missed something?  It is so awful to watch!!

Hello, don't have any advice but just thought I'd let you know I'm having the same experience. I've gotten chicks from meyers many times and never lost a single one to sickness (though a few to raccons when they get older!). This batch I received on tuesday, this morning one was dead andat least 3-4 look and act like that chick 12 hours ago. Lamp is warm enough, the healthy chicks are active. I hope more don't come up sick.

Thanks for your reply.  I called Meyers this morning. She said she had 3-4 other calls

yesterday with same problems.  Hmmm.  I wish I knew what to do.  

We have another chick not doing well-I suspect it will not make it..

Bummer, huh?
