I have a pen of these, 1 roo 4 hens, they eat every egg laid. It is so aggravating, They are well fed with high protein feed, oyster shell provided, fresh water everyday. Does anyone know of anything I can do to stop them from doing this? They also have two laying boxes in the pen, I made the opening smaller thinking that might help, it didn't. They have a large pen and are not crowded. I have 5 other pens of different varieties of pheasants and I have never had an egg eaten in their pens. They are all raised the same. I don't know if it is the roo or the hens, I cannot catch any of them doing it, I had four eggs eaten yesterday.
