Lady Amhearst eating their eggs-what to do?

Knowing little about those kinda birds I was thinking about slope the floor of the nesting box so the eggs would roll into a protected area. If possible.If there on wire floor slope it to get eggs out of harms way.Just a quick thought ...cva34

My hens do it too- except there are twenty of them so we still get about a dozen a day. I suggest filling an empty egg shell with a sharp mustard. Then you put it where they lay and the "chomper" will eat it. Hopefully this will solve your problem. You also may need to do it several times.

Are they laying in the nest boxes ? If so try the roll away method.

Have they plenty of cover to lay in or are they laying in open ?

yes give them a hard boilded chicken egg ever so often

let them eat hard boild chicklen egg ever so offted

try feeding them hard boiled chicken eggs ever so often, feed is not right ..

I have my own experiences about this matter but happened to Swinhoe.

I have 1 roo + 2 hens. I found out some eggs laid in the beginning of the season were pecked.

Lucky than you, I saw the roo pecking egg. 

- Thus, I drive the 2 hens to another pen ( next to its existing pen) on the day they lay egg ( Note: the 2 hen lay egg every 2 day, so easy to know which day of laying egg). After laying eggs, I let the 2 hens back to their roo.

- If you could not try that way, let put many "dummy" egg inside the pen. They will peck them and might give up pecking egg ... My friend, who raise many Silver pheasant, have successfully applied this method to save silver pheasant egg.

There are lots of ways to stop egg eating. A funny way is to blow an egg(poke 2 holes in egg and blow into 1)and fill the egg with spicey mustard. Then put it in the nestbox.onother way is  to make a wooden egg.
