Chicks in with turkeys

I am waiting for my turkey order right now (hopefully today). I have newly hatched chicks here and I plan to put them all together.

I'm not much help..... this is my first time with turkeys.

My Girlfriend has raised Peacocks ducks chickens and turkeys together with out problems .. I think introduction is always key .. watching for a while .. She has several pens but they chose to go together  ..

Ha!  DH has been turkey hunting too.  I went yesterday and found 4!  Of course, I had to pay for mine.

I've got 6 week old chicks and thinking about putting them in with my 4 poults that are about 2 days old. The poults don't seem to get the concept of food. Good Idea or not?

Edited to say: The chicks are a week old, I have 6 of them.  They are not 6 weeks old.

Hi!  I have 3 midget white poults arriving in a few weeks and lots of chicks coming, too!  I'm wondering if I can brood them altogether.  It sure would make things simpler! 

What are you feeding them?  Will the turkeys do ok on a lower protein feed?  I'm thinking of starting them all on 24% for a few weeks and then dropping down to a flockraiser-type feed? 

Any suggestions?

I have Bourbon Red polts over 3 weeks old and 8 chics same age.

I incubated the Chics for the the reason for being with the Polts  becouse they remind the Polts to eat and drink.

I have never done this before new to Turkeys but everything I have read the Turkey food will not hurt the chics you may have Godzilla size Chickens.

I see my Chics growing almost as fast as my Polts BIG CHICS.

If there is someone out there with better info please let me know I am wrong.

I have not seen anyone stating that the higher protein food would hurt the chics but the Turkeys need the higher protean as I have read from other members.

And to quote another blogger that's been here and makes perfect sence if you are unable to get game bird starter and have to go with a lower protein food 24% then you would need to supplement with say boiled egg and don't give them more than what they can eat in a ten minute period.
