first of all let me introduce myself,
im ali, from southern md, 17 yrs old, love chickens!!!
have had chicken since i was like 10 i use to buy little chicken and then sell them ,
made a coop 2 yrs ago bought 23 RIRs but had to get ride of them, COUNTY LAWS
so this year made another nice coop and got 3 barred rocks they are about 10 weeks now and one buff orp about 8 weeks old so i just got boored and
bought a mini advance from brinsea looks prety cool, got one EE egg, 3 buff orp cross sexlink and 3 RIRs egg!
THIS WILL BE MY FIRST HATCH EVER!! Its been ALWAYS MY DREAM TO HATCH SOME CHICKS WHICH IS COMING TRUE NOW :)

anyways anyone else hatching same week as me lets put pics up!!
should hatch aroun may 12-13 HOPEFULLY!!

I set them on the 22nd, also, but i counted that as day zero, and i didn't turn them 3 or more times a day until the 23rd.
I did this because the last time I tried incubating eggs, it failed

However, I just candled my eggs and they seem to be in good condition and growing up!

i have 12 eggs

6 buff orps and 6 lemon cuckoo orps

due to hacth may 14th



here is my mini with one buff orp left in lockdown

due to hatch saturday

Man i am sooo jealous!! I could barely afford mini advance and you got octo with humidity!! And mini ex!!! Soo jealous hey but goodluck! You should donate one of your incubators to me :) or sell them to me at good price!

i only got the Mini 3 weeks ago and the octo last week

im not planning to sell em, and i just brought a special egg fridge

good luck with your hatch

im gonna need all the luck i can get

as you can see the octo eggs are standing on end, thats due to detached aircells and are going through a non turn incubation for 10 days
 
we have 12 buffs, 12 banties, and 12 blackstars due may 9th..... hope you all have great luck with all of the batches hatching.... hoping ours go better this time... first hatch wasn't such a great percentage, but we are thinking the friend we got them from may not have given us them within the first 7 days- we are not sure. this time it should go better (fingers crossed) good luck to all!
