Early hatcher...Update: lost him - Page 2

So far nothing has changed.  He is still chirping and stretching. But he is no further out of the shell than last night.  Although it looks like he may have shifted inside the shell. The others are still not showing any signs or sounds (due date Sunday).

I'm worried he didn't make it. Its been over 24 hr since he pipped.  He broke off another piece of the shell a couple of hours ago.  However, I haven't seen him move for a while now.

How long of no active before I check to see whether he is fine or didn't make it? Should I open it and check now?

Doesn't look like he's breathing either. I could see his fluff moving as he breathed earlier.

I'm sorry for your lose.  I'm sure the others will be fine. May have to wait a day or two. Could be late bloomers.

1 quarter horse, 1 tuxedo cat, 1 siberian hamsters, 3 dogs, 1 hermit crab, 7 freshwater fish, 5 Brahma chickens, 2 showgirl chickens, 9 silkies, 7production chickens, 12 to be determined bantam chicks, 2 pekin ducks and 1 swedish duck....I should hatch a partridge for the pear tree to round it off.
