Help with Breed and Gender

Blue Chicken #2I need some help with what breed and/or gender some of my chickens are.  Any help would be greatly appreciated because I think I have way too many roosters! Ignore the blue coloring on these two. The school kids colored them, then I got them. They are about 7 weeks old now. I do not plan on keeping these guys as I plan on raising BCM's and Ameracaunas. A couple of strays will also be living here as my husband has taken a shine to one or two.

Blue Chick #1 - Ignore the blue - The school kids colored them and then I got them.

Well, the kittens aren't so cute anymore and the easter egger cockerels are in the freezer. Plus, I think offering them as "prizes" scared folks off! So, I'm still posting quotes, if you know it let me know. I'm very enamored of this new one, it may hang around for a while!

These are the BCM's (I hope). Some of them have a little white in the feathers that I am not thrilled with. I have been offered to trade any and all roosters that I might have for hens. I am definately going to take advantage of that. All of them have feathers on the legs down to the outside toe. Some have more than others. These guys are also about 7 weeks old.

#1 Cogburn (I plan on keeping him) I hope it is a him.0426121731.jpg

Well, don't that just figure! All roosters! Shoot, That means that I need to trade everyone but one. I have socialized all these guys to where I can catch and pick them up with no problems. Not one chick has been ill or diseased. roll.png

Do you think they might not be Black Copper Marans?  I have a picture of some eggs from the flock that they came from.  And, I was assured that they were French Black Copper Marans. I certainly hope they were.  Here is a picture of some of the eggs.and some shells from the ones I already used. The lighter one were from different chickens.

OK. So I was given 6 Marans eggs to try to incubate. The people who are giving them to me are not 100% that they are fertile, but I guess we will find out!  Wish me luck. I NEED GIRLS!!!!! LOL!
