Broodys eggs are hatching!! Questions...help please!!!

Our Silkies eggs are hatching as we speak! One pip and can hear another peeping!! My question is, is it too cold in my coop? I live in Northern Wi, where it is still pretty cold. Only 50 today with a brisk wind, and nights are still freezing. My coop though, is very well-insulated but wonder if the chicks hatch ok, will Mama be able to keep them warm enough? What if she has to get up to et and drink? Will they freeze to death?

I would put them under a heating lamp. I have a hen laying on her eggs in her cage by herself I am not sure to take them or leave them with the hen . I never had my hen's  hatch there eggs I have always done it myself and I live in a warm climate. broody hen

They should be just fine. It just means mama will be hunkering down a lot more often to warm the chicks. They'll run around, get cold, and run to mom to be warmed up :)

That is good to know I will leave the chicks with my hen when they hatch too.
