I would love to know if these are hens or roos for sure. I wanna catch any roos before the crowing starts if possible big_smile.png These are my first birds so I really don't know what I am looking at (though I have been looking at all the pictures I can find!). They are about 6.5 weeks old. Thanks for looking!

Here is Buttercup

I do believe your two barred mixes are female, as well as Buttercup. I don't want you to take my word for it though wink.png

Thanks. Daisy is feisty for sure. I wouldn't be too surprised if she was a he.

I'm almost certain that Sophie is a boy. Looks just like my boy Stanley.

I think that all but Sophie are for sure cockerels, can you post a comb pic of Sophie?

I see a bunch of girls, at least so far.  It would be helpful to know whether you obtained sexed or straight-run chicks?

(I say "obtained" because chicks aren't always purchased from a hatchery or feed store.  For example, they could come out an incubator or from a broody hen who has been setting eggs, both of which imply straight-run).

I used to work in an auto parts factory, which is the reason for my handle.  Chickens aren't as heavy, but they're much more entertaining than auto parts!!

They are all supposed to be sexed pullets. I am not too confident though because I got them at a feed store.
