Well its positive, Big Momma is a he. I'll be taking him later to his new home a picking out a new pullet, "sigh" She was so pretty, now I know why. I hope you can see the video.

Sucks when you cant have roosters. I love the crowing. I have 7 crowing right now... Of course, 5 of them will have to go... but I still like to hear them.

At the very least, wipe the poop off your feet before getting in the car.

Dang it :( I had this happen to me with 3 silkies!  I had to drive an hour each way to return them and swap out for a ''hen'' We finally got 2 hens...or at least a rooster that doesn't crow...they are only 7 months old and not laying eggs yet.   We can't have roosters here.

Egglayer123- He hatched on 2/22. I thought I heard it crow last week but wasn't 100% since I never raised chickens. When I heard it I ran out their to catch him in the act. Now waiting to see if my speckled Sussex is next sad.png. But that does mean I get to go chicken shopping again for replacements, he he smile.png

Wow he is so young to crow. I have some that are five to seven months that still haven't made a peep

We are a small farm in Vacaville, CA. We are looking to be a small hobby breeding farm of various types of chickens: Araucana, Blue Laced Red Wyandotte, Silver Penciled Plymouth Rock, Silver Campine.

i have a speckled sussex and it is a night mare with my other girls.. she pecks the life out of them!! i have 2 light sussex chicks think one of them is a rooster but :/ awell il see if i can get away with keeping it.. hopefully the neighbours wont mind :) and mayb even breed them.. still learning lol :)
