You'll start to notice quills coming in by the 5th week. Give your duck atleast 2months.

Full colors usually come in at about 5-6 months. But' usually their voice changes at about 2 months and you can really tell that way. Females will be very loud.

When will the tail feather on the drakes curl? Will it be before adult plumage or not until then?

I'm guessing when they have full plumage;  they won't need it until then. But, I'm happy to stand corrected.

OK...guess I'm still waiting then...lol

They both sound exactly the same, not near as loud as the Pekin I had that I was assuming was my female (she was much louder than the other Pekin). Would this indicate I have a pair of girls? The only time they ever get loud is when my 5 yr old tries to catch them & scares them.

Noise level can certainly be an indication of female vs male!   Males have a hoarser, sore-throat rasp rather than a full fledged QUACK!

Mine are four weeks old and they are still peeping just like when they were babies also. I would really love to know the sex of mine also.
