Yes the barrier netting will sag especially when splicing it together for width, roll is 48" wide. I left my run posts high and attached to the coop roof and the fence posts.

You can cut the width to about 1 foot wide and make a grid pattern like you would fishing line to save on weight and sag.

This is my neighbors run and the barrier grid works for them and it will only keep out hawks.

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone!

I am not sure, but when my husband, who is a contractor, starts using that jargon I tend to get lost, tongue.png but from what I understand he is going to put up some sort of 2x4 framing and then he is going to staple on this mesh.
It is weird looking stuff and I am worried it will rip because of those staples. He is assuring me he could walk on it when he's done. hmm.png
But now I am getting worried, raccoons?! Do they live in the CA High Desert? I have never seen any, and I have lived here for 20 years now. I did spot a possum once several years back about 8 miles from where I'm at. Would that be too close for chicken comfort?
