That poor thing, did it ever occur to you to maybe take it to a vet?sad.png

Most of the time it's prohibitively expensive for a backyard flock owner to pay a vet to look at a chicken (that is if you can even find a vet that specializes in avian illness). It's a hard choice but investing $200-300 for a chick just doesn't make sense. That's why these forums are so helpful so we can share knowledge and hopefully learn how to treat illnesses effectively.

I called around but there are no vets around here that will see a chicken

Mom of 12 Chicks, 5 Dogs, 2 Cats, 1 turtle, 2 Guinea pigs, 20+ Guppies and 4 of the best kids around :)
