Any ideas on what I have.

Ok so I just hatched out 4 "Ameracauna" eggs and I am definately thinking these are easter eggers and I am fine with that but what has me stumped is two of the light ones have 5 toes. these two have very distinctive black chipmunk stripes down there backs.  The other light colored one has lighter less defined stripes and then there is the dark colored one.  They all have puffy cheeks and came from a decent colored blue egg.  I was wondering if the 5 toe thing is common in EE as I have not seen this before but I have little experience with any of the blue egg layers. Hope my pics post this is the first time trying to post pics.chicks mult.jpgfeet.jpg

No. They probably have Faverolles in them somewhere would be my guess. There are other 5 toed breeds, but with the puffy cheeks all around that would be my guess. Do any of them have any leg feathers?

Well five toes means it could be part silkie...but I am stumped with the coloring...it could possibly be a multi-colored silkie(silkie splash)

Without chickens, I wouldn't be able to live my life to the fullest!

No leg feathering. I am going to see if I can get a couple more pics of one of them. I think she has light Brahmas I am trying to remember if they have five toes.

Well after pouring through this site looking at hundreds of pictures I tend to agree with Mama25 they look alot like Faverolles to me not sure but they are cute whatever they are.  I will try and get ahold of the lady I purchased the eggs from to see if she knows, but I doubt it she thought she had Ameracaunas. Whatever they are it will be interesting to see how the develope.

Faverolle or Faverolle mix.

I just brought home my first Faverolle a month ago. She took a lot of holding to get use to me. She was very skittish at first, but now she flies in my lap.
