yesturday I saw a red fox right near my chicken coop on the other side of the fence and i was wondering,

can foxes reach through chicken wire?   i know racoons can. but iwas just wondering because my coop is totally enclosed also with wire buried about five feet.

did you say chicken wire?

chicken wire will not stop foxes, they can actually break in, I recommend you use welded wire asap

If it's really "chicken wire" they won't reach through.

Its faster for them to just bite a hole in it and crawl through

Chicken wire keeps chickens in. It does not stop predators. Had lost too many to predators when I used chicken wire only. That usually takes a heavier wire to stop predators. I have used Chain link with chicken wire on the inside, 1/2" hardware cloth. 2x4" with chicken wire on the inside. Good luck.

Bantam Cochins in Black, Birchen, Columbian and Buff Columbian. Now also have Sliver Penciled and Partridge. Working on a Silver Laced Project. Gold Laced project, and now a few White and White Frizzle.
