pq is pet quality and sq is show quality

there's a big difference in the 2 but you would really need to look at show and pet quality side by side.

its 100% silkie.

there is no such thing as a useless eggs granted it does take a few more bantam eggs than it does regular eggs but thats ok

True on the eggs.  Not as much bang for my buck (or my parents' buck, I should say) when it comes to feed, though.  Good thing I got the creature for lovin' ;D

Thank you for the help!

Aw!  Your silkie is adorable!  I have two blues, but I love the contrast with the buffs between the skin color and the feathers.  What a cutie!

We have a dozen different breeds of chickens and we love them all!

Great pics! I am new to keeping chickens too and I too am really geeky on the subject. thumbsup.gif

If I come across as sharp, I am not meaning to be sharp - just informative and to the point. I don't tolerate fools too gladly.

Looks like a Buff Rooster. Very cute little one. Silkies are hard to tell mostly. You really cannot know until he/she either crows or lays an egg :P
