We're very happy with it. I'm certain one could build it less expensively oneself, but I lacked the time, tools and talent. TuffShed was good to work to add the windows and vents, and even to extend the roof over the run. The latter is not part of their standard set of options. I drew out what I wanted and showed it to them, and they told me what they would charge
I don't think TuffShed's base design has enough ventilation or light, but adding windows (or as you say screened openings) helps with that. I am glad I had them add the continuous ridge vent over the coop.
Good luck with yours. These chickens are proving to be quite an adventure. We most recently added window boxes and a rooster weather vane (the closest a rooster will come to this coop). I've thought about adding a cupola over the coop, but am having a hard time finding a working version small enough to be in scale.
