How old are they? Looks like my Buffs did, they're a little over 6 weeks old now.  I wouldn't think they are Red Stars, they usually have the little racing stripes on their backs when they're babies, and I didn't see any in your first set of pics.

Here are two of my girls now if you want to compare the coloring.

1 German Shepherd, 1 Borador, 1 Malitpoo, 1 West Highland Terrier, 1 German Shorthair Pointer puppy, 3 Australorps, 6 Red Sex Links, 1 Black Sex Link, 1 Speckled Sussex, 1 Silver Laced Wyandotte, 2 Golden Laced Wyandottes, 2 Buff Orpingtons, 3 Tetra Tints (aka: Amber Sex Link) and 9 Easter Eggers.

YES, I had to thin my flock out. It went from 57 to 28.  :(

I don't know. Here is a picture of my week old buff orpington. Sure looks like mine but that would be odd for them to send it to you.

I ordered from Ideal Poultry in Feb. I received 12 FS buff orpingtons as packing peanuts along with my order of 12 bantams. I had a buff orpington roo the previous year and all 12 of these little peanuts are identical to him.  Sorry I haven't taken any pictures of these 12 ~ they will be freezer food for us and I don't interact much with them. If I get attached I will end up with 12 pet roos and my freezer will stay empty!!
