Honestly, they are great birds. We have 2 boys freeranging together and neither one has ever gotten the least bit aggressive with us and they are very polite to their girls as well. No missing...
We love our Nankin hen. She's very sweet and good natured, excellent bird for beginners or kids. She comes when called, she's an excellent bug hunter, likes to sit on your lap (or head, or...
Leghorns are great egg laying chickens. They are friendly to other Leghorns and can easily fly. The only problems is that they are bad in the pecking order and they can make a mess of the yard....
I will start by saying that I love Australorps. In fact, my very favorite hen is an Australorp. She is such a sweet chicken and just let's you walk right up to her to pick her up. She doesn't run...
Thanks for the help! That's what I was afraid of ,a roo. I'm just scared of him turning out mean. I have a three year old that lives the chickens but I'd hate to see him get scared of them. We'll just have to see how he turns out.
Thanks again everyone!

They aren't Light Sussex, they have pink legs. Those birds look like they are Columbian Rocks, they have yellow legs. I'd say you have one pullet and one cockerel.
i was under teh impression that the light sussex and colubian rock where the same bird but for USA and UK obviosly with different standas for show purposes
so i decided to look it up and i cannot find any information that the UK against USA version has different leg colour
the Sussex was bred orginally in Sussex UK and even then i cant find any reference to pink or yellow feet
5 Red Star, 1 Speckledy, 3 Col Blacktails, 3 White Star [Leghorn] 1 Amber Star - All Hybrid Pullets, 1 French Copper Marans - Roo, 2 Lavender Araucanas - Roos, 3 Cream Legbars - 2 Pullets & 1 Roo
Plymouth Rocks and Sussex are different breeds, Sussex originated in England and Rocks originated in the US. In the UK it may be different, but in the APA SOP Sussex have pink legs and Plymouth Rocks have yellow legs.

sorry i think my posts have confused you
i was not refering to a plymouth rock
i was refering to a columbian rock which is the USA name for the UK bred Light Sussex

Sussex have pink legs and Rocks have yellow legs. Also notice the difference in the body? There are US bred Light Sussex, they have a separate SOP than Plymouth Rocks.
