I have 39 Ringneck Pheasant eggs going into lockdown on tuesday, (may 1st) and 11 turkey and 12 more Ringneck eggs going into lockdown on wednesday, (may 2nd).
I have 4 LG's, 2 w/fan and auto turners, (what the eggs are in now) and 2 still Air, (what the eggs will be transfered to for lockdown.
Ringneck eggs have been incubated at 99.5* and water resivoirs kept filled. The Turkey eggs have been incubated between 99* and 99.5*, water resivoirs also kept filled. I have not checked the humidity in these incubators during the incubation period.
I have read and been told that the temps for incubation in a forced air incubator and a still air are different, (I.E. forced air should be kept at 99.5* and the still air should be kept at 102*.
I set up the Still Airs today and plugged them in so I could get the temps and humidity stabilized for lockdown on tuesday and wednesday, but I am not sure what the temps should be for each bird. I know that the humidity during lockdown should be somewhere around 65-80 but I am only getting readings of 55% in one bator and 58% in the other. (temps in both are steady at 102*).
Can someone please tell me,
1.) what temp I should use for Ringneck Pheasants and Turkeys in a Still Air incubator during lockdown?
2.) what my humidity should be for each bird?, and
3.) How do I increase the humidity in my lockdown bators.
I am going into panic mode here. I don't want to lose my entire hatch after all this time because of wrong temps and humidity. PLEASE ADVISE.
