Barnevelder Pullet vs Cockrel

I have a question about sexing Barnevelders.  I have 3 chicks...now 10 weeks old.  I think I have 3 pullets, they all have the black/brown lacing in their feathers, but the saddle feathers look more pointy or else the lacing pattern just gives that appearance.  I have seen pictures of adult Barnevelder roosters which do not have the same lacing.  Do young cockrels ever get this lacing and just outgrow it as they age?  Sorry, I can't post pictures yet...I'm still a newby.

After 10 posts you can post pictures. Generally pullets have the lacing and the cockerels are more solid black when they are that age.

Here are a couple pictures of my Bantam Barnie's when they were around that age. Hope this helps!

Thank you, that does help...I still think mine are all pullets.  One is darker than the other two, but still has the lacing.
