Thank you! Yes, they were so docile and would put up with anything. The sock-suits I made them fit nicely (flattened down all that fluff!) but at the time I didn't know that chickens can't walk if their wings are immobile LOL. I think I cut wing-holes in the socks and put them back on, but every time I turned my back they undressed themselves, so I gave up. It was pretty funny!

I can keep pretty busy. After I'm done feeding, watering, and cleaning all of the animals, half the day is over. What do I do with the rest of my day? What every other animal lover does.. Dream about more animals! LOL

I'm glad that you enjoyed my lengthy post lol. I was in a talkative mood last night!

It is a satisfying feeling to know that I have what I want.

BUT- after satisfaction there somehow always comes a nagging curiosity and desire. I find myself going through all the other interesting breeds that I've never owned, "adding to cart", and contemplating what the consequences would be if I clicked "secure checkout". LOL

That's the problem with chicks.. you always want more! Maybe they should create a breed of chicken that stays small and fluffy for a longer period of time, just so we can baby them and keep them in the house for longer. Out of sight out of mind.. Once they go outside in their coop then you want more babies to raise! Hey, that's what they did with the Chiuaua.. they bred them to stay puppies for the rest of their lives!

And for those Baby Hueys, they really do make a thud. I had one fly up onto the edge of the 3ft high enclosure while I was standing beside it with my back to the birds. The thing misjudged and flew into me at top speed- almost knocked me over! It scared me to death, because they were all being so quiet and still, I certainly wasn't expecting to get hit with a melon sized bird from behind!
