What breed is this?

We got this hen as a freebie with an order of chicks and haven't been able to figure out what breed she is.

Sorry I didn't get any pictures of her as a chick, but she was a grey color like on her belly with some black dots mostly on her face and around her eyes.

I'd say the weirdest part about her is that she looks like a rooster, but she is a hen.

Edit: I think I should add that i say hen because that is what she is acting like.

She is full grown in these pictures (just about to start laying) and she weighs about 4 Ib.

We keep over 15 chicken breeds, mostly heritage and rare - 75 to 100 chickens average. There are always eggs in the incubator in spring for us and to help others get started on a backyard flock. Always Eggciting!

I don't know about breed, not familiar with sumatras, but that doesn't just look like a rooster, it is a rooster. Why do you say it's a hen?

Well, the kittens aren't so cute anymore and the easter egger cockerels are in the freezer. Plus, I think offering them as "prizes" scared folks off! So, I'm still posting quotes, if you know it let me know. I'm very enamored of this new one, it may hang around for a while!

Thank you for the breed ID. Rooster? It was supposed to be all hens and it sure acts like one.

Just curious, what shows you it's a rooster? I got my rhode island red cross with new hapmshire chicks when they were five days old , there were four chicks but they said one was a rooster cos it was yellow. Well I couldn't really see a difference they all looked yellow to me!

do you mean sexlinks? When they hatch, roosters are yellow/white, and the hens are red.
