Greetings from Michigan. My name is Jeanine, and I have been lurking here for the past 8 weeks or so gathering information and trying to decide if raising chickens is for me. My boyfriend got 6 Barred Rock chicks about 9 weeks ago,and I have to admit the whole idea of getting some chickens appeals to me. I have a few neighbors who occasionally bring me "farm fresh" eggs as my 13 yo son calls them, and those always get eaten before the store bought eggs. I will continue to look over this site and learn as much as I can. I am happy there is such an informative resource!
