Mixed...EEs dont have specific colors because their not a pure breed...

I have seen many chcikens this color so there is no color that this is?

Nope sorry...yea Ive seen alot of roos that look just like him...EEs No set color but his feathering and patterns represents male...thats the only distinguishing feature

Because Easter Eggers are not a purebred or recognized type, they come in a lot of mixed colors.

 

The one shown could be described as a melanized splash wildtype BBR, possibly with the pattern gene or something similar. There are often EE's from hatcheries that come out looking like that, some very handsome ones.

I have one that color also.  I have seen it said ( here on BYC) that the best descprition color for it would be blue/red splash.

 

Mine is creating very colorful babies.

Too much red scattered in the shoulder and breast area to be Red Pyle.

Red Pyles require dominant white wink.png As stated, it carries splash.
