My duck wears a diaper so she's not very messy! A must if you want to keep a duck/chicken/house as an indoor pet! But it's nice to have her with me all the time big_smile.png

I only have experience with three breeds of ducks. Not pet chickens...
That being said, Welsh Harlequin.

I would get a parrot like a sun conure if you want to cuddle with your pet. If you want to have an outdoor related pet then I would get a few pigeons. You can hold them. I am not sure if they'll follow you but anyway they are pretty docile.

I love my frizzles for holding, they are soft & cuddlie but the males tend to bite. They cuddle too though. Im very fond of my polish hen. She is gentle but my polish rooster is entertainment. He might nibble on me as well.

Waterfowl aren't well suited to being house pets.  Just look at how many posts we get on "help my drake (or gander) is attacking me".  Being treated like a dog instead of like a bird messes up their minds.

Small parrots make good house pets and they can go into a properly built outdoor aviary during the day.
