seem like a good breed, if i had the room i would probably raise a batch of them they seem like they would be a good 4h starter show bird...considering i dont see many of this breed in my class...

I bought some chicks at the feed store and the clerk said that there were several types in the bin. So, I picked out 4 that I liked the most. They are roughly 1- 2 weeks old (but not sure).

Help us figure out what chicken breeds we bought, please! Here are the models. . .

to me 1 looks like some sort of a red maybe rir 2 looks like a barred rock, dont have a clue on the other 2.

1,3 and 4 look like Easter eggers so far. 2 might be a jersey giant or austroulp(sp) maybe. No clue on #2.

Thanks for looking! The camera did not do chick 2 justice however. It is not full black. It is actually a mix of black and brown.

I guess I'll just wait a few weeks until they get their feathers before i jump to any conclusions.

Number 2 looks like two of mine which are black Australorps...but then again, I am still 100% sure on what all of mine are either. My husband bought them, so I jsut had to guess by looking at the recipt, and finding pictures on here that look similar to my chicks...would love to see pics when they get bigger
