Diseases and Coups

Well, I'm trying to decide on a coup design but I have some questions first. Let say my flock gets some kind of horrible disease and I have to cull the entire group. If I have a wooden coup, is there some way of disinfecting it so it can be reused? Also, I plan on having the entire run surrounded by plants, shrubs, and vines in order to help keep the chickens cool for those 100+ degree days. Would these plants have to be removed to prevent the next batch of chickens from getting sick as well? Is there a method to disinfect the shrubs without killing the shrubs? Any thoughts or ideas would be helpful.

Dont waste your time worrying about that kind of stuff. If you maintain biosecurity and a closed flock you should be ok.
