Hello I am a new member here

Good Morning

I am a new member here, also a new baby chick mama. We decided as we lived in the country and crazy about animals that we would like to raise chickens for eggs and also to enjoy having them around.

We got our first baby chicks about 11days ago now, and they have grown so big and strong already.

They have such wonderful personalities and I enjoy watching them

I have them in a spare room at the moment but the smell is strange. I clean them out often and change their water up to 10 times a day as they like to dig in the shavings and send it flying into the water.

We have 15 chicks, we are in process of converting a stall in our barn for them.

Daria: Could you possibly be referring to the harsh light of reality?

Hello and welcome to the forum. It's a great place for answers...

Do not go where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.

Hello and welcome-byc.gif from Southern PA!   Have fun with your little ones.  You should try a hanging waterer if you are having to change it that often - then they won't get so much junk in it.

We have a dozen different breeds of chickens and we love them all!
