That they didn't want any of my lovely duck eggs casue they'd heard that duck eggs taste like mud.  hmm.png  Not true of sweet domestic duckies on a grain based (not snail and algae based) diet.

Why don't sheep shrink in the rain?

Why is there brail at drive up ATMs??

Why are their floatation devices instead of parachutes in my airplain seat???

If a tree falls in the woods and my husband doesn't hear it, am I still wrong????

Too bad for her then!!  I would much rather eat an egg right out of my chickens butt the from the store where they have been sitting for a month.  You should show her a video from a nasty battery hen house and show her what ewwwwwww really is!!  I know mine are free range and what they eat and they are treated well.  Some people are just so dumb. I can't wait to taste the first egg out of my girls butt!!!!  Jackie

I guess that could be construed as if they are next to the road or on the other side of it they are free for the taking?????

I was sharing pictures of my chickens today, naming each one and talking about their personalities, and after I'd already explained that we keep our chickens for eggs, I got asked:

"But if you name your chickens, doesn't that make it harder to eat them?"

I wouldn't know... since they're laying birds.

Another conversation I have a lot is,

Them: So do you eat them?
Me: No, they're laying birds.

Them: What's a laying bird?

Me: A bird that lays eggs?

Them: So you can't eat them?

Me: Well, you could, but they don't have as much meat on them as a meat bird...

Them: What's a meat bird?

Me: *facepalm*

At the County Fair one year a bunch of kids set off my noisy Booted Bantam.  I was whistling to her, since that usually makes them shut up.  Someone came up and asked me what I was doing.  I said that the whistling helps calm them down.  Of course they say, "Oh, well then here:  *loudest and most high pitched whistle you could possibly imagine*"  Of course that set the whole barn off!  The person just said "Noisy animals, huh?" and walked off. barnie.gif
