my chicken has a dislocated leg and i was wondering if there is any way to fix it i would hate to cull her but will do if i have too
You can try putting it back in place if possible, securing with vet wrap, but understand that it will likely be crippled.
Happiness is when you can look at your chickens and smile....
Worry is interest paid on trouble before it comes due.
Flockwatching my little bunch of mutts, a favorite pastime.
It would be very hard to tell a dislocated leg from a broken one, I'm sorry to say.
A break right near a joint is almost impossible to splint. However whether it's a break or a dislocation, if it's at the hip, it's going to be very hard to fix. I doubt a dislocated hip will ever be normal no matter what you do with it. (If it's the hock joint, you may be able to splint it so the leg fuses; the bird won't be comfortable but may get by.)
My feeling is this would be a vet case, or a cull. Sorry to say that (and by all means ask others for ideas).
Best of luck with it,
