I can't seem to find 1/2" x 1/2" hardware wire here in Sarasota so I'm considering 2"x4" deer/dog wire for the coop. Any thoughts on that? it's 14 gauge.

I just bought my hardware cloth from wayfair (www.wayfair.com) plus got 10% off, paid 63.00 for 48 inch x 50 foot rolls..got it in two days (free shipping!) and it will work just fine

I would consider it too risky. Large snakes can get through that as well as raccoon paws, etc.

Well I guess they don't have that size any longer, the only size is 100' and either 24" or 36" and the 36" is over $100 with the free shipping...

I thank you for the info but this morning I was rather desperate and ordered form Amazon...with free shipping it was $67...should be here by Tuesday and that will give me time to build the run.
