I use plain old rubber cement to stick our homemade labels on the foam cartons.

When evaluating data one should always consider the source and remember, no one wants to make illegal that which he wants to do.

These are actual labels- like stickers. Will they stick?

I prefer foam cartons. They can be cleaned and reused multiple times. I detest the paper ones, they disintegrate when they get any moisture on them, and I have had dry ones fall apart in my hands (and break all my eggs) barnie.gif

I like the plastic tri-fold trays for camping, as they stand up well to the abuse and moisture in the cooler.

Have y'all seen these? You can recycle your eggshells as seed starters, and write right on the shell what you planted, and not worry about the paper cartons messing up the pH. I'll be trying it next year.

I tried the self sticking labels and when I went to reuse the cartons the labels would come off so I tried the glue stick and never had the problem again.

I use Avery 5163 labels on my foam cartons. After the eggs are packed I close the cartons then wipe the tops off with a lightly dampened cloth then a quick swipe with a dry one. The labels adhere much better that way.
