Hello im posted another forum because my chicks are a little older and i took new piocs so i would like to see if any one has input of their sex. Please let me know what you think thanks. Also how many roos can i have, only one? Would i have to keep them seperate if i kept more in a 10 acre farm? Thanks

im no sexing expert, but they all look like girls to me.  i dont know. i just posted a question like this my self.

Those look like maybe Barred Rock crosses. At first I thought they might be Cuckoo Marans because the white is more random. If you didn't hatch them where did they come from? If they are straight run it would be a miracle if they were all female. That big one in the bottom pic looks male to me.

How many roos you can have also depends on how many girls you have, not just on space.

I ought them at alive stock auction and they are supposed to be barred rocks but they dont tell u if they are hens or roos. I also have sex link chix that are a few wks old almost and im waiting to see with them too. So im not sure how many hens ill have. I have a feeling alot of them are males. i dont no if hens do this but they are always flaring up and trying to peck each other, which reminds me of roosters.

In that 3rd picture down, you have at least a couple of males. Those look like black sex link males or other Barred Rock crosses. They're not pure BRs, but the two on the left in the 3rd photo are cockerels and the one on the top in the last pic is a cockerel, too. Definitely not pure BRs.

Yes, pullets do flare up at each other and at the males, too, so you can't go by behavior at that age. I've had several BR crosses (accidents) of Silver Phoenix males over BR hens and they were quite similar to yours. The pink comb by 3 weeks old and the "ghosty" barring was quite a giveaway that they were not just BR pullets, but BR cross males.

ETA: Be really super careful buying birds at livestock auctions. You may be buying a boatload of disease trouble.
