hello everybody im new to BYC from WIGAN MANCHESTER UK

Thread Starter

hi guys i'll start with a list of whay i have going on at the min,

i have 2 rescues horses and a rescue shetland,

a cats protection feral cat that was burned,

6 POL warrens

3 golden quail

3 lionhead rabbits

a house cat

2 shih tzu - one just had pups and one is whelping today

an orphan blackbird fledge that came last night and

the most exciting one-

i made a polystyrene incubator with a bulb etc and have 4 cambell duck eggs in it, one is clicking and one is whistling and the other two are quiet but i presume they were laid later than the others. there were 6 originally but had 2 with early death at anout 10 days.

i dropped one on the torch and 'fixed' it with a melted crayon and its the one that is clicking - thanks to the forums on here !!!!

ive been using a magnet to sex them and so far there is 3 ducks and a drake but im going to take them back to the duck man that sold me the eggs at a few days old so that he can sex them and then we can see if the magnet works!

i read the hatching article by pete55 it was great!

mostly my animals are all rescued and then they seem to stay around forever, or until its their time, when you save something it seems like u cant trust anyone else lol

my next incubation is hopefully going to be the quail eggs - i have no patience and heard it is 16 or 18 days for quail... less than ducks so should be fun.

Mark 11:22-23

"Have faith in God," Jesus answered. "I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him.
