Supermoon

Who on the site will be out to look at the supermoon of 2012 and the meteor shower that will accompany it?

I hope it'll be clear enough and not rain so that I can see it.

I heard about the super moon on the news this morning.  It is pretty over cast right now - I hope it clears up some tonight.

BTW, the dog in your avatar pic is so cute.

Every time I get ready to watch  some sort of celestial event, clouds cover the sky.  Never fails.  I'll get the cameras ready, even hosted a party one time only to have rain.  This time I'm doing nothing so I'm sure the sky will be picture perfect. lol.png

I love sky watching/star gazing events unfortunately living in the PacNW has made it pretty much a no-go most the time. Usually the clouds roll in and then you can't see anything - it never fails. barnie.gif

I have about as much luck as you guys lol. It's always overcast. It's overcast right now hmm.png

I bet when I go out to try and see it, it'll be oversast and possibly even raining. But I bet if I planned not to see it, it would be perfect out. th.gif

I'm going to try and see it.  It is kinda cloudy here in Washington.  I love seeing meteors and shooting stars.  It's also kind of fun to watch the satellites zig zag across the sky.  Happy viewing!

Yep, the clouds are here.

I can see the moon right now, and it looks just normal to me.

But I did hear that it will be better in the morning, an optical effect will make it look larger.

Well, at least the clouds were impressive

The moon, however, appeared normal at 5:30 this morning
