anybody in lockdown? - Page 2

Yes, I kept water in the bator per the instructions. I think I had the humidity too high, and that is why the air cells are too small. Okay I am going to candle again now. Let me charge my camera, and I will try to post pics of them.

This is also my first hatch...first time hatcing anything!  I set 10 Indian Runner duck eggs and at 7 days I candled to find 1 egg wasn't fertile and 2 had early death. I have the styrofoam Little Giant incubator w/fan and egg turner.  I kept water in the incubator and then when I candled around 21 days I felt like the air cells were too small so I removed the water and went dry for several days.  I tried to keep temp at 99.5 but I know from time to time I had high temp spikes.  At lockdown the air cells looked good (I think) so I'm hopeful things will go well.  I do have one egg that was lighter on the small end - not near as light as the air cell - but you could sure tell something was different from all the other eggs which were totally dark expect for air cell end. Not sure how that one will turn out but it did have movement before lockdown and on day one so we shall see.  I'm wishing for more action from my eggs!  I can't get anything done...no house cleaning for me...just hanging out by the bator and reading as much as I can on here.  What time of day did you guys set your eggs?  Do you think that will make any difference in hatch day and time?  I set mine at 8:00PM.
