Well one quit, but the other 41 are still going strong! I'm trying the dry incubating until lock down method- their air bubbles are still pretty small. We'll see in a week!

How did everyone else's 7 day checks go?

WoW thats cool well done.

I think Dry or Wet as long as Humidity is around 30-40% or if weighing which i think is better calculator 13% Loss then it dont matter what method you use

I usually never make a decision until day 10 and toda is 9 i beleive

out of 6 Ducks 3 defo look good, 1 pretty much looks infertile, 2 have a red line, i cant see veining but a red line, it does not meet in a ring like a red ring does but im pretty sure its a red ring

so looks like i have 3 gooing strong

but all in all if its any consolation to myself 1 have 2 Lemon Cuckoo Orps sue to hatch within 24hours, 2 very good health looking Aseel Eggs on day 12 and 6 RIR and 6 BPR on day 3 no candled them yet

i think i will have a few months rest after this lot before i start again

although thats easy said then done hehe

Just added 7 Call Duck eggs & 12 Lemon Cuckoo Orps. That now gives me a total of 44 eggs in the big bator & 36 more arriving this week. My 1st 6 (from my own Banty hens) are scheduled for a May 30th hatch. The rest will be staggered every few days til Mid June.

Bring on the BABIES!!!!! ya.gifjumpy.gifwee.gif
