Anxious Newbies....

Hi we are the Bandys from Meadow Bridge, WV and have just recently bought a mini farm and we are proud owners of 5 chickens so far . We have wanted to do this for many years and recently the opportunity came about for us to adopt our 3 grandchildren so we decided to move us all to the country . Of course being in the country includes the farm animals so we have first started with chickens and look forward to adding to our little farm. Any and all suggestions are more than welcome since we haven't a clue what we are doing but are very anxious to learn ....

Silver Laced Wyandotte's, Silkies, Ameraucana's, Easter Egger's, Belgian d'anvers, Leghorns, California Whites, Rhode Island Reds, Barred Rocks, Black Australorps, Buff Orpingtons, one Black Jersey Giant rooster, Guinea's, Ducks, and one Sweetgrass turkey tom.

All the best for your journey with chickens - I'm sure you'll do great! If the chickens have enough food and water, and are safe from predators (that's an important one), they will take care of themselves, and you'll be getting eggs! wee.gif
