Thanks everyone! I feel so welcomed! I'm a bit stressed out at the moment waiting to get responses about the baby turkey ("Orey") situation I just posted in "emergency." In case you didn't see it I'll paste it here. Who knew I would be as concerned about him as I would be with my own babies!! Any help would be so appreciated!
Here's it is:
Our 1-month old Burbon turkey has a swollen face. We bought some medicine to put in the water and the other 2 very young turkeys (different breeds) are much better but this little one is worse. He appears to be in a lot of pain. We contacted a vet but he wants $50 to see him plus $20 to drain his sinuses and more money for medicine. His name is Orey. It is sooo hard to see him suffer! Are their alternatives? Does anyone know any way we can help this little guy? He lives in Southwest Ranches, in Southeast Florida.

I don't know anything about Turkeys. But I hope he is ok. Is this medicine antibiotics? They would probably help with the infection in the sinuses if this is what he has. hugs.gif

Yes, the medicine we put in the water is an antibiotic. Hopefully someone in our group will know about turkeys and help us save this little guy/girl.
