You have to get this perfectly level for the water to work and then sometime it still leaks. You have to monkey around with for it to work. The handle is welded cheaply and busted off...

Leghorns are great egg laying chickens. They are friendly to other Leghorns and can easily fly. The only problems is that they are bad in the pecking order and they can make a mess of the yard....

seem like a good breed, if i had the room i would probably raise a batch of them they seem like they would be a good 4h starter show bird...considering i dont see many of this breed in my class...

I just realised what she needs - a set of those librarian type reading glasses with a beaded chain :)

Whoever said don't count your chickens before they're hatched clearly never tried to count chickens after they're hatched.

Love the super close up! Just the thought of that look from Gloria will keep everyone in line. We will all behave and not raise our voices because we know Gloria sees and hears all.

Oh, what would I do without byc? Or gloria? I can just see her in the library, peering at some poor youngster with her patented Nasty Librarian Stink Eye and scolding him for bringing his books back late. Maybe the local library could adopt Gloria as a special 'bring your books back on time' mascot? That stink eye would make me return books for sure! And then never return to the library again...
