I purchased some biddies at a local auction this past saturday, I get them home and get them fresh water, food and bedding and realize that they are almost all sick... They were advertised as Black Copper Marans... well I think 2 of the 6 might be, but the other 4 well... I think they are some kind of mini buzzard. lol can anyone help me try to identify them, also... can I give them some durimycin-10 in their water? They are also getting medicated chick starter feed. I've read some info about it not being a good idea to give them that feed, but they all look like they are ill, and other than layer pellets that I give my other hens, the medicated chick starter is the only other feed that I have. 1 biddie has died already, we have 5 left. :(
