seem like a good breed, if i had the room i would probably raise a batch of them they seem like they would be a good 4h starter show bird...considering i dont see many of this breed in my class...

New here, living in Southern Maryland and interested in the possibility of a few chickens for nice fresh eggs, and maybe more...(sorry for those of you whose chickens are pets)...

My curiosity is whether or not I can legally keep chickens in my back yard in Calvert County in the vicinity of Chesapekae Beach....

I'm no expert on US states, let alone chicken laws in them, but I would recommend placing a phone call and trying to find out.
I also found this thread, but I'm not sure if it actually applies to you.
