We got 2 chicks at a farmers market that were to be barred rocks. I read on byc that barred rocks have a white patch on top of there head. My chicks did not. Now they are almost 6 weeks old and are turning red around the neck and chest. Turns out that if they are black stars then the guy at the market was at least half right.
